Happy Mother's Day! So today was the prenatal Mom's Day for Alicia, very excited. Call it coincidence but it was a great photo shoot day. Or maybe Alicia is just getting used to being the star. We have several fun images. The first is "Alicia loves cottage cheese at all times, but especially with child". It was also an inspirationally amazing weekend in Seattle where we had lots of sunshine and warmish weather after 2-3 brutal, rainy, cold weeks. So, we have shots in the garden and by the flowers, of which we have a beautiful array of different mature flowering bushes. Pretty cool. In other news this weekend Alicia and I watched movies and ate tasty dinners. I worked on the bathroom tiling project and did some running. It is very satisfying to remove all the ugly tiles and plywood walls in your shower to reveal 68 year old house frame. No time capsule or wads of cash, sorry. Alicia had woman, baby time too walking, talking and watching the awesome global baby movie that just came out--very cute I hear. I also learned more about bike tires as I inexplicably ripped through three tubes in two days, which drove me crazy--only to learn Sunday that my three year old tires are riddled with gashes from glass, rock and other gritty Seattle street debris. Thus the swiss cheese tires. Anyway, enough chatter. Enjoy the photos.

We were sad to see Emmy go, but it was a good week. Alicia and I relaxed. On Sat. I helped my friend Brennan move to a new apartment. Alicia and I met up at our friend Dani's May Day picnic. May Day is also opening day for boating in Seattle, which is much cooler than it sounds. There is a big boat parade and everyone celebrates and watches the boats, and generally welcomes spring/summer, or whatever you want to call it in Seattle. We have had a wet spring, and cold. Sat. night we went to see Date Night, which was pretty awesomely funny. It was a good date night, we had tasty burgers at Five Guys afterward. Sun. Alicia did yard work while I finished painting the basement. The picture shows her resting in the afternoon. Busy week ahead.
